Flipping Through Google Fast Flip

Google recently announced its latest Google Labs experiment, Google Fast Flip which aims to deliver a reading experience similar to that of flicking through the pages of a traditional newspaper or magazine. This is an attempt to smooth over relations between Google and the newspaper industry which has openly criticized the search engine giant.

Publishers contend that Google discourages readers from accessing an entire story as the news snippets and headlines published on the search engine are enough to give the readers a picture of what a story is about. And for most readers, the information gathered from the snippets is enough so that the complete story doesn’t get enough exposure.

Features

Reading news online is often problematic especially in websites that contain a substantial amount of graphics and other media. Fast Flip solves this problem by providing Internet users with a speedy way of reading through news items. Users can flip through a collection of the latest news items and other popular stories without having to deal with delays in loading. You can keep clicking through the articles until you find something of interest. Feeds from top publishers may also be seen on the website.
